This mashed potato recipe has a couple of advantages – you can make it a few days ahead of time, and you can cook them in your slow cooker opening up more room in your oven or on your stove top for other holiday dishes.

Ingredients
- 5# potatoes
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese
- 8-12 T Sour Cream
- Milk
Instructions
- Peel, Cube, and boil the potatoes in generously salted water until tender
- Drain the water and place the potatoes and other ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Beat with hand mixer, adding milk as needed for the right consistency.
- Transfer to your slow cooker bowl, top with dollops of butter, and sprinkle a little paprika over the top.
- Cover and store in the fridge until your holiday.
- Cook on low power for at least 6 hours.
- If you prefer to use your microwave, spread the mashed potatoes into shallow greased baking dish and microwave on low power for 30 minutes.
