Microplane

This is a handy tool for getting a very fine grate on hard cheeses, garlic, citrus rinds, ginger, nuts, hard chocolate, or even butter. This is the original brand, but there are several brands available.
Be careful using this, it will also easily grate finger tips and knuckles if you’re not careful.
