Big Mac Casserole


The name pretty much describes this, it tastes like a Big Mac. All of the pieces are there – the beef, the cheese, the pickles, the special sauce, and even the sesame seeds!

Big Mac Casserole
Ingredients
Sauce
- ½ cup mayo
- 2 Tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish
- 1 Tbsp brown mustard
- 1 tsp dill pickle juice
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Pinch of white pepper
Casserole
- 1 # ground beef
- ½ small onion chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic minced
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 4-6 slices America cheese
- 1.5 cups shredded lettuce
- ½ cup dill pickle slices
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped onions
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Mix up the sauce.
- In a medium to large cast-iron skillet, brown the ground beef to half done, then add the onions and garlic and cook until the onion is soft.
- Season with the salt, pepper & Worcestershire Sauce and stir through.
- Spread out to an even layer in the bottom of the skillet.
- Lay the American Cheese across the ground beef.
- Shred the lettuce, and sprinkle it across the cheese.
- Spread the pickles over the lettuce.
- Put the sauce over the lettuce; if you have an empty squeeze bottle put the sauce in that and squeeze it over the top.
- Sprinkle the finely chopped onions and sesame seeds over the top.
- You can serve this as is, or over toasted open face buns if you’re craving some carbs with your burger.
