Ingredients

  • 2 # of beef roast, stew meat, or steak cut into 1 inch pieces. We like to make a big roast and then use the leftovers for stew.
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp Kitchen Bouquet
  • 4 medium carrots sliced
  • 3 medium potatoes cut into 1″ pieces
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 stalks celery sliced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 clove garlic minced (or 1/4 tsp granulated garlic)
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  • Place your meat in the slow cooker.
  • Premix the corn starch, salt and pepper together. Sprinkle this mix over the meat and stir to coat the meat evenly.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and stir through.
  • Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours.
  • Serve in bowls with some crusty bread or biscuits for dunking.
