This is an easy and delicious way to serve up fresh green beans. While it’s commonly said that bacon makes anything better, this combination is exceptionally good.

Ingredients
- 1# Fresh Green Beans
- 4 Strips of Bacon
- 1/3 cup of onion, finely diced
- 1 clove of garlic, finely diced
- Balsamic Vinegar
Instructions
- Trim the ends from the green beans.
- Cook the bacon in a deep fry pan or large sauce pan until it’s well browned and most of the fat is rendered.
- Remove the bacon to a cutting board, and add the beans to the bacon grease.
- Toss the beans in the bacon grease and cook them over medium heat until they begin to wilt.
- Add enough water to cover the beans, and simmer them until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the beans are cooking, fine dice the bacon into bits.
- Drain the water and then add the bacon to the beans.
- Add a splash or two of balsamic vinegar to the pan and stir through.
