Green Beans with Bacon

Ingredients
  

  • 1 # Fresh Green Beans
  • 4 Strips of Bacon
  • 1/3 cup of onion finely diced
  • 1 clove of garlic finely diced
  • Balsamic Vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Trim the ends from the green beans.
  • Cook the bacon in a deep fry pan or large sauce pan until it's well browned and most of the fat is rendered.
  • Remove the bacon to a cutting board, and add the beans to the bacon grease.
  • Toss the beans in the bacon grease and cook them over medium heat until they begin to wilt.
  • Add enough water to cover the beans, and simmer them until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  • While the beans are cooking, fine dice the bacon into bits.
  • Drain the water and then add the bacon to the beans.
  • Add a splash or two of balsamic vinegar to the pan and stir through.
