Ingredients
- 3-4 cups trimmed green beans
- 4-6 strips of bacon
- ½ cup of chopped onion
- Garlic Powder
- Black Pepper
- Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- Trim the ends from the green beans and cut in half if they’re more than a mouthful.
- Cut the bacon into ½ inch pieces.
- Chop the onion.
- Heat a large skillet with a lid over medium heat, and then fry the bacon until it’s crisp.
- Remove the bacon and add the onion, cook until soft.
- Add the green beans and stir through. Put the lid on the skillet and cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes to steam the beans.
- Remove the lid and raise the heat to high for a few minutes to brown the onions and beans a little.
- Add the bacon back, sprinkle with garlic powder and black pepper (there will be plenty of salt from the bacon and the cheese).
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve.
