Fried Green Beans

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 cups trimmed green beans
  • 4-6 strips of bacon
  • ½ cup of chopped onion
  • Garlic Powder
  • Black Pepper
  • Parmesan Cheese

Instructions
 

  • Trim the ends from the green beans and cut in half if they’re more than a mouthful.
  • Cut the bacon into ½ inch pieces.
  • Chop the onion.
  • Heat a large skillet with a lid over medium heat, and then fry the bacon until it’s crisp.
  • Remove the bacon and add the onion, cook until soft.
  • Add the green beans and stir through. Put the lid on the skillet and cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes to steam the beans.
  • Remove the lid and raise the heat to high for a few minutes to brown the onions and beans a little.
  • Add the bacon back, sprinkle with garlic powder and black pepper (there will be plenty of salt from the bacon and the cheese).
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve.
