Dutch Oven Fruit Cobbler

This is the same recipe I use for Fruit Cobbler at home, updated to cook in a cast iron Dutch oven.

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup quick oatmeal
- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup softened butter
- 1 can of fruit pie filling or three cups of fresh fruit sprinkled with sugar to create some juice.
Instructions
- Start 24 charcoal briquets, or pull your coals from a fire.
- Mix the flour, sugars, and oats; then cut in and stir through the butter
- Place a liner in your Dutch oven.
- Spread 2/3 of the oats mixture on the bottom
- Spread on the fruit filling and then the rest of the oats mix over the top.
- Place 6 coals under and 18 coals on the lid and bake for 45 minutes; rotate the lid a 1/4 turn and the oven a 1/4 turn in the opposite direction every 10 minutes.
