This is another great way to use up a half a head of cabbage, and it makes a salad that works well for parties and pot lucks. It’s very easy to make just before your company arrives.

Ingredients
- ½ cup slivered almonds
- ½ cup sesame seeds and/or sunflower seeds
- ½ head of cabbage, coarsely chopped
- 1 package Ramen Noodles, crushed
- 3-5 green onions, chopped
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 3 Tbsp rice or white vinegar
- 3 Tbsp white sugar
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- Flavor packet from the Ramen
Instructions
- Put the almonds and sesame seed in a non-stick skillet and heat them on over a medium flame, stirring regularly, until fragrant.
- Crush the ramen noodles. Combine these with the almonds and sesame seeds and set aside.
- Toss the cabbage and green onions together in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl or jar, mix up the dressing ingredients (oil, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, and flavor packet).
- Just before serving, pour the dressing over the greens and toss.
- Add the almonds, sesame seeds, and Ramen noodles and toss again.
