1-2 hot peppers, ribs and seeds removed and peppers diced
1 bell pepper or 2 banana peppers, diced
½ cup fresh parsley, or a ¼ cup dry
¼ cup lemon juice
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1-2 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 cup water, divided
Instructions
If you have a food mill, cook the tomatoes first and run them through the food mill to separate the seeds and skins from the pulp and juice.
Combine the ingredients in a sauce pan with ½ cup of water and bring to a simmer for 20-30 minutes. You only want it soft enough to run through the blender, you don’t want to reduce it.
Pour in a blender, add the other ½ cup of water and blend until smooth.
Taste and adjust for salt and pepper and blend.
If you want you can run this through a sieve to remove any remaining seeds and pieces, but this will take a long time and the sieve tends to catch a lot of the good vegetable pulp that makes this so healthy.
