This is just like the stuff in the blue box, it tastes as good if not better, but it costs a lot less than the blue box because you’re not buying all of that packaging. I like to add things like grilled hot dogs and peas in to mine, and then sprinkle hot sauce over the top. This will make a full meal for 2 people, or a side dish for 4-6 people (unless you have hungry teen age boys!).
¼ cup cheese powder (I use Hoosier Hill Farms, but there are many options available)
Optional additions: cooked sliced hot dogs, cooked bacon, frozen peas
Instructions
Start 2 quarts of water to boil.
If using frozen peas, add these to the water before the macaroni. This is going to cool the water down so let the water come back to a boil before adding the noodles.
Boil the noodles for 9 minutes.
While the noodles are cooking, melt the butter, and then add the milk, then the cheese powder, and whisk them together.
When the noodles are done, drain them and add them pack to the pan.
Add the cheese sauce to the cooked noodles.
Add sliced hot dogs, bacon bits, peas, etc if you would like
This makes 2 servings as an entree, 4-6 servings as a side dish.
