This coffee cake is popular with our kids and it reminds me of cinnamon sweet rolls. It also makes enough to feed a crowd!

Ingredients
- FOR THE TOPPING:
- 3/4 cups Flour
- 1½ cup Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
- 1½ cup Pecans, Chopped (optional)
- 1½ sticks Butter, cold
- FOR THE BATTER:
- 3 cups Flour, Sifted
- 4 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 3 whole Eggs
- 1½ sticks Butter, Softened
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1¼ cup Whole Milk or Half & Half
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease a 9×13 deep baking dish.
- In a food processor, combine the topping ingredients until crumbly. Set aside.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Beat the eggs and set aside.
- Cream the butter and sugar together.
- To the butter/sugar mix, add the flour mixture and milk alternately until combined, but don’t over mix it.
- Fold the beaten eggs into the batter.
- Spread into the 9×13.
- Sprinkle half of the crumble topping over the batter.
- Take a butter knife or chopstick and stir the topping through the batter.
- Spread the remainder of the topping over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until firm; check with a toothpick.
- Serve warm if possible.
