Baja Sauce

If you’ve had authentic fish tacos, this is the sauce that was on those tacos. This flavorful sauce is also delicious on fried or grilled chicken and could even be used as a salad dressing if you like. If you would like to make this non-dairy, you can skip the sour cream or yogurt and use all mayonnaise. I often will substitute MiracleWhip for mayo because I like the added flavor, but for this recipe stick with real mayonnaise.

Baja Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup sour cream or plain Greek Yogurt
- ¾ cup mayo you can use all mayo if you want it dairy free
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp dill weed
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp cayenne
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Refrigerate, preferably for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to blend.
- For best application, put in a squeeze bottle to easily drizzle over the fish or chicken.
Notes
Baja Sauce served over grilled chicken.
