Lemon Butter Fish Filets

Rich and tangy, this will add zing to your fish! I prefer to make it with trout, but just about any fish will work for this. This pairs well with a cooked rice dish.

Lemon Butter Fish Filets

Ingredients
  

  • 4-6 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2-3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • Fish Filets
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Optional Seasonings:
  • Parsley
  • Chives
  • Dill
  • Basel
  • Tarragon
  • Minced Onion
  • Lemon Peel

Instructions
 

  • Melt the butter and combine with the lemon Juice and whatever other herbs and seasonings you would like.
  • Salt and pepper the fish fillets
  • Pour 1/3 to ½ of the lemon butter into a casserole dish and place the filets in the casserole.
  • Pour the remaining lemon butter over the fish.
  • Bake at 450o F for 15 minutes
  • *Or*, pan fry the fish in a skillet.
  • Season and flour the fish.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet and fry the fish.
  • When the fish are done remove the fish and keep them warm.
  • Add the lemon juice and seasonings to the butter to make a sauce for the fish.
