Teriyaki Steak Stir Fry
Jump to recipe
This is a delicious way to prepare steak, and you can easily double it to serve a crowd or provide leftovers for another easy meal. It takes a little planning ahead as it has to marinate overnight. This is also a great way to use some steak that may have been in the freezer a little too long.
Ingredients
- 2# of beef steak
- Teriyaki Marinade
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 white onion, chopped
- 1 stalk celery, sliced on the bias
- 3-5 green onions, sliced
- 2 Tablespoons corn starch
- Fried Rice
Instructions
- Prepare your teriyaki marinade (or use store bought).
- Heat a cast iron skillet on high, and sear your steaks 3 minutes on each side.
- Slice your steaks into bite sized pieces, and place these in the marinade. Allow the steak to marinade overnight.
- Before stir frying your steak (or while if you’re a good juggler), prepare your fried rice and keep warm in the oven.
- Remove the steak from the marinade, reserve the marinade to use later.
- Heat your wok or skillet, and add 3-4 tablespoons of oil (I like peanut).
- Fry your steak in batches and keep warm in the oven.
- When the steak is done, stir fry your red pepper, white onion and celery in the oil.
- Mix the corn starch into the cold marinade, and then add the marinade to your wok.
- Add the steak back to the wok and stir through.
- Add the green onions to the wok, and stir through.
- Serve over your fried rice.
