Sweet and Spicy Slow Cooker Pork

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Hot Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sake or white wine
  • ½ Tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Asian 5 Spice
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • ¼ white onion sliced thin
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 pound boneless pork ribs or pork shoulder steak
  • 2 Tbsp corn starch
  • ¼ cup cold water
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh chives
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Combine all of the ingredients above the pork.
  • Cut the pork up into bite sized pieces.
  • Marinate the pork in the sauce overnight.
  • Put the pork and the sauce in the crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours
  • Remove pork from the sauce, and put the sauce into a small pan on the stove.
  • Blend the cold water and corn starch, and add to the sauce. Bring to a boil to thicken.
  • Add the thickened sauce back to the meat and serve over cooked rice; top with the chives and sesame seeds.
