Rice Sides

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 2 cups dry white rice
  • 4 1/2 cups of stock or broth - beef chicken, ham, vegetable, etc. You can use pre-made stock from the store, or make it with bouillon cubes, granules or a stock base (I personally love Better Than Bouillon)
  • Vegetables such as chopped onion mushrooms, bell peppers, celery, carrots, etc.
  • Additional ingredients depending on what kind of side you are making.

Instructions

  • Rinse the rice in a mesh colander, this will make it less sticky.
  • Cook the rice in the stock as you would normally use water, simmering for 15-20 minutes until all of the stock is absorbed.
  • While the rice is cooking, you can saute' your vegetables and/or prep your other ingredients before adding to the rice.
