Nasi Goreng (Indonesian Fried Rice)

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 cups of cold cooked rice
  • 2/3 cup of Water
  • 1 packet of Conimex Nasi Goreng Mix
  • 3-4 slices of bacon
  • 1 pound of cubed ham pork loin or pork chop (leftovers work good)
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 leek sliced thin and washed (optional, but traditional)
  • 2-4 eggs

Instructions
 

  • Cook the rice ahead of time. Spread out on a sheet pan and refrigerate overnight for the best fried rice.
  • Boil the water and then add the Nasi Goreng mix to rehydrate it.
  • Brown the bacon and the pork in a fry pan or wok.
  • Add the chopped onion and cook to translucent.
  • Add the eggs, scramble through and cook until firm.
  • Add the leeks and cook until soft
  • Add the Nasi Goreng mix and stir through.
  • Add the rice and cook until warmed through.
  • You can fry an additional egg or two and serve over the top.
