Cut the kielbasa on the bias and toss into a stock pot
Chop the onion and toss into your pot.
If you have the time, first brown the sausage and onion in the the stock pot. The Mt Dew and the beef stock will deglaze anything that has burned to the bottom of the pot.
Chop the cabbage into large pieces, removing the core, and toss into your pot.
Pour the Mountain Dew and the Beef Stock into the pot.
Add the Cavenders and stir through.
Cook over a medium high flame for 30-40 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
