Bring well salted water to a boil, add the pasta and cook to al dente; drain.
While the pasta is boiling, heat oil in a skillet and sauté the sliced sausages, over medium heat until browned. Keep turning and stirring to prevent burning. Don’t overcrowd the pan; you may have to do it multiple batches.
When the sausages are done, cook the onions and the peppers. Add the garlic when the onions are about done.
Add the sausage and the pasta sauce to the skillet and simmer.
When the pasta is firmly al dente add that to the sauce too.
Simmer for another 10 minutes until heated through.
