of Flank Steak or Flat Iron Steak

cornstarch

Peanut Oil

minced Garlic

bunch of green onions
sliced, whites & greens separated

Soy Sauce

Instructions
Cut your steak into ¼“ strips.
In a bowl or a ziplock bag coat the steak with cornstarch.
Brown the steak in the peanut oil, but don’t cook through.
Add the minced garlic, soy sauce, water, brown sugar, a few shakes of sesame oil, onions and carrots to the slow cooker and stir.
Add the browned flank steak and stir again until coated with the sauce.
Cook for high for 2-3 hours or on low 4-5 hours until cooked throughout and tender.
Serve over rice and garnish with green onions.
